Thoughtful Modern Landscape Design for the Bay Area
Crafting minimalist garden poetry for San Francisco, the Peninsula, East Bay and beyond. With 15+ years of experience across 100+ projects, we expertly weave your style, project goals, site character, and sustainability into a cohesive concept and timeless design. Our detailed design drawings are an essential tool in the tasks of estimating and construction. This initial investment allows you to confidently put your landscaping budget towards a design that you know you will use and love.

Our process is our product.
From our initial conversation, the exploration of ideas, selecting plants and materials, and finally, the documenting of all our intensions for the purpose of construction – you are involved in every decision, both great and small. Our 5-star reviews speak for themselves. We can't wait to hear about your project.

'What is your landscape design style?'
We are style-flexible and idea-driven, helping clients discover what resonates rather than steering them toward a predetermined look.

'What if I'm not sure what I want?'
We'd love to show you 2-3 design options. We can talk through the pluses and minuses of each design, budget considerations, maintenance needs, etc. and revise accordingly until one solution feels right.

'Is there a limit to the amount of revisions?'
Nope! For Schematic Design, we offer a fixed price with a stated cap on hours. Then, if we go past that, we bill hourly at a reduced rate ($75/hr) until you are happy with a design.

'Will you help us find a Contractor?'
Definitely! Through the years, we have worked with several Contractors throughout the Bay Area. Depending on the location of your project, we can recommend accordingly. A best practice is to collect at least 3 bids.

'Will you stay involved from concept to construction?'
While we love being involved every step of the way, all design phases are optional and may be pursued as budget allows.

'Is our budget too small for a designer?'

We work on projects of all scales. Our goal is to keep design fees within 10–15% of the construction budget, and we can tailor our time and scope to meet your needs and budget.

'Can we see a 3D model?'
Certainly! This is not only the best way to visualize a design, but it helps us design it too. That said, we don't typically create 3D models, in effort to keep design fees low. But, if you'd like this, we'd be happy to include it as an add-on.
